Dust jacket has a sticker stain to front flap, small bookstore label to rear flap, tiny chips to outer corners, else fine. Lewis's novel about the war years he spent in Toronto, which he felt was the low point in his career. Written when he was in his 70's, it is the most personal of his novels and is considered by some to be his greatest work. An edition of only 3K copies, made from UK sheets.
