LEWIS SEYMOUR AND SOME WOMEN.
London: Second printing, April, 1917. Heinemann's Colonial Library edition. Red cloth stamped in blind and black. (xii), 310, pp. Spine sunned to tan, with nicks and chips at head, short split to joint repaired, slight wear to foot of spine. A thorough reworking of A MODERN LOVER (1883). First published under this title NY, Jan., 1917, and in the UK in March. This 2nd UK printing is possibly the first colonial library issue (not mentioned by Gilcher A36-2a). Gilcher does mention the 2nd and 3rd UK printings and says that they had some slight revision and a new imposition. The imposition of this copy is that of the first UK printing, except that it has no ads at rear and the last signature has 4 instead of 2 leaves.
