THE GIST OF NIETZCHE
Edition: First Edition
Boston: John W. Luce, 1910. Variant binding not noted by Schrader. Narrow 12mo, covers 19.4 cm tall, plain maroon cloth. [10], 60, [2, ads] pp. Spine lightly rubbed, very lightly sunned, with minor wear to head of spine; light endpaper tanning from binding; text faintly tanned; VG+ copy otherwise. The usual copies have a paper label to spine and to front cover, and the covers are 19.2 cm tall. This copy has covers 19.4 cm tall, and the page height is also just a bit more than a normal copy. It seems never to have had cover labels. The absence of visible evidence that this copy ever had labels could be easily dismissed as merely "labels lacking" were it not combined with the fact of the slightly taller format. In addition, the maroon cloth seems just a mite darker than the usual copies. Schrader A6.1.a does not record this variant though it does note "EPL copies in very dark maroon cloth. Both cover labels vary in size." Note: lighter parcel, any default postage rate may be reduced.
