[2], 128, [2, blank] pp. Engraved title and 45 steel-engraved plates inserted, all with tissue guards, 1 folding map at rear (all plates present). Spine rubbed at joints, tips, with short splits to top and bottom of front joint, small chip to foot of spine; rubbing to edges of covers; some foxing to plates (mainly to margins) and tissue guards, though a few plates have substantial foxing to the image as well; "E" gilt stamped to foot of spine; else a VG tight copy, no previous owner marks, inner hinges not cracked.
