ENDURING PASSION. Further New Contributions to the Solution of Sex Difficulties. Being the Continuation of MARRIED LOVE.
Edition: First Edition
London: Putnam's, 1928. 12mo. Brown cloth. (xvi), (222) pp. Rubber stamped ink name on front free endpaper; light spine rubbing; VG clean & tight jacketless copy otherwise. Includes a useful bibliography of the author's books (Appendix B). Pages 203-05 (Appendix A), "A Few Examples of Useful Prescriptions", contains a statement (page 205) to the effect that "when this book was already half printed", an M.D. who had read the book in proof thought it ill-advised for the general public to have access to the actual prescriptions, so they were omitted. Laid in this copy are pages 205-08 as originally printed, giving the formulae and 3 pages of text not in the published book. (One supposes physicians and other "qualified" persons could apply for the suppressed text.) The laid in pages (one sheet folded to make 4 pages) are partially split at the fold and the fore edges are creased and nicked (because they protrude beyond the other fore edges). Stopes was, of course, the reknowed pioneer of birth control in modern times. Note: lighter parcel, any default postage rate may be reduced.
