THE MOON IS DOWN
Edition: First UK printing
London: Heinemann, 1942. Small octavo, terra cotta cloth, spine lettered in white, beige endpapers. A fine, bright copy, no owner names, no flaking to the delicate spine lettering. Orange non-pictorial price-clipped dust jacket has minute rubbing to spine ends; front panel has a 1 cm tear to upper inner corner and a 1.5 cm tear (almost invisible) to lower edge; else fine, with (unusually) no sunning to the orange spine. G&P A16c. Much scarcer than the 1942 US edition. Nice copy.
