Tall octavo, bound in contemporary half brown calf and marbled boards, spine with black label, raised bands, compartments decorated in blind. pp , xvi, 380 + engraved (by Breviere) frontispiece on stiff paper, 140 vignette woodcut illustrations on title page and in text. Spine has some rubbing touched up, wear to outer corners and to edges of boards; partial crack to front joint but front inner hinge not cracked; rear inner hinge neatly repaired with paper; both covers firmly attacted. Text has considerable foxing; damp stain to last half of text; damp spots to half-title leaf; creases, nicks, tiny chips to fore edge of pp 3-6; small soil spots to front endpapers; in all, a good copy, tight in the binding. Note: 1.5 kg parcel, extra postage may be required.
