Pale blue price-clipped has some sunning, short tears, VG. Inscribed by the author in 1951, with a long 1951 ink gift inscription by another Grinnell person just above. At the time the author was Professor of Modern Foreign Languages at Grinnell College. This copy bears the Grinnell College Press imprint on the spine of the book and jacket as well as the front panel of the jacket. The Decker Press collection at Western Illinois University has a copy with the title page imprint crossed out and written over "Grinell, Iowa: Grinnell College Press, 1951". 1950 was the last year the Decker Press operated. It was then owned by Ervin Tax who was assisted by James Decker's sister Dorothy. She had feelings for Tax, but he wasn't interested, so she shot him and killed herself.
