THE GIRL I LOVED. Drawings by Howard Chandler Christy. Decorations by Margaret Armstrong.
Edition: First of this edition
Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, 1910. Tall octavo, dark brown decorated ribbed cloth stamped in gilt, brown and white, oval colour pictorial label on front cover. [106] pp, unpaged. Drawings throughout by Howard Chandler Christy printed in orange, with border decorations in very pale green by Margaret Armstrong. She did the spine and cover decorations as well. Spine has minor rubbing at tips, and slight flaking to the white portions of the decoration; slight yellowing to page edges; a few small, light, and not very noticable, spots on rear cover; else a fine copy, no owner names, covers bright, attractive. A "pretty book", no doubt a mushy book, maybe just the thing for your own sweetheart, a tale told in verse with illustrations by one of the best American commercial illustrators of the day, with design by the excellent Margaret Armstrong.
