London: Sherwood, Gilbert & Piper, no date, 1819. Bound in old half leather and brown cloth, marbled endpapers. Text unpaged, printed in double columns. The outer corners of the covers are worn, with some skinning to the leather; cloth at lower front cover torn, creased, with a piece missing; spine lacks the top two inches (blank I believe, gilt title lettering still present); rubbing to joints; inner hinges cracked; rubber stamps to the first (blank) leaf; text lightly and evenly toned, but clean, tight and unworn. The commercial parts were written by Clarke, the legal parts by Williams. Six chapters - history, princliples, and articles of commerce, municipal laws, maritime laws, international laws, commercial arithmetic, and more. Early 19th century. There was an 1819 edition with a different London imprint which included the present publisher, but which had a different subtitle.
