[2], (xiv), 320 pp. Spine lightly dulled; minor rubbing to spine tips and outer corners; text paper lightly toned; partial crack to rear inner hinge but still firm; else a VG clean, tight and unworn copy, no owner names. The middle-class writer's account of his time spent living and working with a fishing family in Sidmouth, East Devon, in 1906. Reprinted in modern times by Oxford Univerity Press and others. A reasonably important book of modern English social history. Devon dialect.
