Two volumes, original white cloth ornately decorated in gilt, top edges gilt, bound in ribbon markers. pp [2], 293, [3]; [2], 292, [4] + numerous photo plates with captioned tissue guards and a colour folding map at rear of Vol. II. Yellowing to fore and bottom page edges and to endpapers; armorial bookplate and 1908 ink owner name and place (Zamora, Michigan) on front endpapers of both volumes; light damp stain along lower margin of rear cover of both volumes; else a bright and tight, near fine pair. In the original dust jackets, red cloth covered paper with spines gilt lettered. Mild wear to tips of bit sunned spine, jackets are otherwise VG generally.
