THE PSALMS OF DAVID, Imitated in the Language of the New Testament, and Applied to the Christian State of Worship [AND] Hymns and Spiritual Songs. In Three Books. [BOUND WITH] A Valuable Collection of Sacred Musick, Adapted to the Various Metres in Watts

Exeter, New Hampshire: J.J. William, Printer, 1818. Contemporary (original?) calf. Text: pp 250, [5, table of first lines and list of subscribers]. Music: pp 251, [3, index]. Issued in two parts horizontally divided about 2.5 up from bottom, hymns at top, music at bottom. Calf worn and scuffed, top inch of spine surface worn away; ink name in block letters on rear cover; erasures on title page affecting clarity of some type, but everything still easily readable; several closed tears to text edges, and a thumb-mail size chip to fore margin of pp 171-72 of text with loss of some words and a smaller corner chip to 191-92 with loss of a few words; page 132 of text has some old cellotape repairs; text has some foxing and soiling; joints cracked but holding; lacking the front free endpaper; rear free endpaper of the music portion pasted down to rear endpaper; in all, just a good, sound copy, typical of hymn books. Each part of the text and the music has its own title page. Unusual item with the divided text and music so that each can be read at the same time.; Octavo
