Minor rubbing to tips of very lightly darkened spine, else a VG clean & tight copy, no owner names. Evans translated from the original Latin, and added his Notes and the Appendix. Main text in Latin with English version on facing page. Originally published in 1544, this was the first bird book to contain clear descriptions of individual species based on the author's own observations.
