A FOX UNDER MY CLOAK
Edition: First printing
London: Macdonald, 1955. Octavo, tan cloth, spine lettered in red. Small bruise to tips of lower outer corners of covers, else a fine copy, no owner names. Dust jacket (art by Broom Lynne) has a three inch closed tear along lower front spine fold extending horizontally at top across about half the spine; half inch creased tear at top of front spine fold; nicks to panels and top of front flap; VG otherwise, the front panel bright and showing well, and the tears (no under plastic wrapper) are not glaring, especially the horitzontal one, which is almost invisible. In all a nice clean and tight copy of the fifth and scarcest of the 15 volume Chronicle of Ancient Sunlight series. A World War I novel of the battle of Loos in 1915, of fear, and the quest for courage.
