Edition: First trade printing
Garden City, New York: Doubleday, Doran, 1928. Blue cloth with black on orange cover labels; bold yellow, white, and blue pictorial endpapers; yellow top page edges. A (deceased) critter has drilled a hole about 2 cm deep into fore edges (no text affected) just below the upper and lower edges of pp 79-142; a fine copy otherwise. Really "20's" jacket age-darkened to white spine; very light rubbing to head of spine; price-clipped; nick to lower inner corner and to top edge of f ront panel; one inch tear to upper edge of rear panel; light age darkening to flap folds; the jacket is otherwise mainly fine. Despite the bug holes, a nice copy of a common-enough book, not common in jacket. The first book to bear the Doubleday, Doran imprint. A jazz-age novel about a young flapper.
