The book is dedicated to legendary rare book dealer A.S.W. Rosenbach, who turned up the then only known copy of the Norwich, CT: John Trumbell, 1786, abridged piracy edition of Boone's autobiography (first published Wilmington, DE, in 1784), which, along with its title page, is reproduced in facsimile here.
