Ads for the United States Playing Card Company, with various patterns and special decks depicted. Inner hinges cracked; most of front panel (repaired) of dust jacket laid in; red spine lettering just a mite dulled; else fine and tight, no owner names. The title page continues: "A descriptive and comprehensive Guide on the Rules and Plays of this interesting game, including table, definition of phrases, finesses, and a full treatise on Skat as it is played to-day." A scarce book one of the best three-handed card games, German in origin.
