The Nova Scotia novelist's first book of fiction and his fourth book overall, a collection of 12 short stories with a two page foreword by John Buchan (Blanchard C130). The book sold only a modest number of copies and received very little distribution in Canada, where it was not published until 1943, which edition won a Governor-General's Award for fiction. Scarce in any condition, rare in jacket.
