Thin dust jacket spine is a bit yellowed, with chips at ends, horizontal tears and vertical spits to folds, all neatly repaired internally and the whole now looking fairly respectable in a plastic wrapper. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper "To Rose Helen Francis, with best wishes, Constance Beresford-Howe". Author's first book, published at age 24, just after graduation from McGill, the novel was a winner of the Dodd, Mead Intercollegiate Literary Fellowship.
