Volume I : pp [2], xii, 436 + frontispiece, vignette title, and 31 other plates + 7 colour maps. Spine rubbed, title label chipped, wear to outer corners; light foxing to margins of plates; old brown paper rear to bottom margin of pp 175-76, plate at p. 345, and last leaf. Volume II: pp (v)-viii, 468 + plate at front, frontispiece, engraved vignette title, and 32 other plates + 4 colour maps. Spines rubbed with both labels perished; wear to outer corners. Plates have light foxing to margins and blank sides, occasional soiling in plate margins; tears to first plate and title leaf have old paper repairs on blank sides. Both text blocks tight in the bindings. Hundreds of vignette illustions in the text in addition to the quality steel engravings. The maps are in clean, fresh and bright condition.
