Light margin decoration on every page. Spine slightly darkened with gilt lettering dulled; nice private bookplate at front; front inner hinge and inner margin of leaf after title repaired with rice paper; yellowing to fore and bottom page edges; else a VG clean, tight and unworn jacketless copy, no owner names. Many leaves unopened at edges. A book about Jackson's classic American novel ROMONA (1884), a very popular work which showed the mistreatment of the native peoples of Southern California after the Civil War.
