Slight bubbling to cloth of front cover, light spots to rear cover, a little leaned, yellowing to page edges, light toning to endpapers and text as usual, VG clean, tight and unworn copy otherwise. Front flap (only) of jacket leaid in. The first published of the Jalna novels, it won the Atlantic $10,000 Prize Novel contest. The start of a long series of novels, a Canadian Galsworthian family saga that finally shuddered to a halt in 1960. Though she had a long career, we find her signature to be somewhat uncommon.
