Graves served with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers during WWI and was invalided out owing to shell shock. He made his poetic reputation with poems based on his war experiences but after 1927 he didn't allow them to be republished. This posthumous volume collects those poems, some previously unpublished, and contains an Introduction by his son William as well as 'Poetry of World War I', a three page essay by Robert Graves, and extensive bibliographical notes at the rear. Note: lighter parcel, any default postage rate may be reduced.
