Staples rusty; small tear and short chip to fore margin of last leaf; two inch closed tear to pp [95-96] repaired with clear archival paper tape; small creases, edge nicks, to some leaves; front cover has an ink owner name, faint damp spots, and corner creases; a good clean copy over all, still tight in the binding. There were several printings with different pagination issued 1917? to 1919? The latest dated verse in this copy is 01 June, 1919. The last verse, on pp [99-100], is "Fritz Goes Farming". This copy doesn't correspond exactly to any of the records on AMICUS. WWI verse written by a civilian 1914-19. Cosens was in the insurance business in Wingham.
