LIVE AND LET DIE

Edition: First US printing

New York: Macmillan, 1955. Navy blue cloth grained boads stamped in yellow. Very light yellowing to page edges; three inch hairline ridge to surface coating of rear cover (production flaw), else fine, no owner names, no rubbing to the edges. The pictorial dust jacket has both corners of the front flap clipped by the publisher as per their common practice at the time and the $3.00 price printed vertically at the top; vertical crease to the flaps near their fore edges; slight rubbing to spine ends with a short tear at head; small rubbed tear to lower outer corner of front panel; yellow author name on spine very slightly sunned; minor rubbing along top edge of front panel; white rear panel lightly dusty; in all still a solid VG and attractive example. A Cock Robin Thriller. First published the previous year in the UK, this is the second James Bond novel. The British first (non-pictorial jacket) is rather scarce but this US first is even scarcer. ; Octavo
