FROM RUSSIA, WITH LOVE
New York: Macmillan, 1957. Cream cloth stamped in black. Small soft creases to spine ends; page edges yellowed; else fine, no owner names, corners sharp. Dust jacket has very small rubbed chips to corners of spine and panels; slight foxing to upper margin of front panel, not glaringly obvious owing to the art work; one inch tear to upper inner corner of rear panel; near fine otherwise, attractive, a very decent example. The front flap corners were clipped by the publisher, as they did for a time, but the $3.50 price is present. Jacket art by Richard Chopping, the first Bond book thus. The text was reset by the US publishers and incorporated two of the small changes Fleming wanted. Much scarcer than the British first.
