ENGLAND HAVE MY BONES

Edition: First printing

London: Collins, 1936. Black cloth, spine lettered in white. Yellowing to page edges and endpapers, text paper lightly toned, as always; black top page edges faded; small bruise to lower outer corner of rear cover; just a small amount of flaking to the delicate white spine lettering; else fine. Dust jacket has small chips to upper inner corners of panels; nicks and very small chip to head of spine; small chip, short tear, to upper outer corners of panels; near fine, flap price intact, no yellowing to the spine. Quite a nice copy and scarce thus. "White used some of the material he had assembled at Stowe in his hunting, fishing, shooting, and flying diaries. With several references to Cobbett, the book also describes various activities such as how to play darts, how to recognize clouds and trees and what to do with grass-snakes." - Gallix A8. Includes nice woodcut illustrations by the author. ; Octavo
