THE SWORD IN THE STONE
Black cloth. Vignette illustrations by the author. Very light yellowing to page edges; light yellowing to endpapers, small owner name in blind to bottom margin of front free endpaper, bookseller's ticket at rear, else fine, no flaking to the delicate white spine lettering. Dust jacket spine shows light yellowing to the white portions, with nicks at ends, small corner chips; nick and short scratch to front panel; tiny chips to outer corners; in all, VG+, flap price intact, very nice indeed. The first volume of his famous Arthurian tetraology and his most famous book. The novel in fact owes little to the family story from Malory. Gallix A10.
