Yellowing and foxing to page edges, tidy ink owner name at front (Neilton Mission), minor foxing to first few leaves, else a VG clean, tight and unworn copy. Buschlen was from Arthur, Ontario. He was reared a Mormon and in early life worked as a bank clerk in Toronto, publishing several fiction books on the subject and becoming an advocate for their unionization. He moved to Montana, continuing in the banking business, and eventually joined the US Army, serving in Europe in 1918, He next moved to Los Angeles sometime in the late 1920s, where he took up screenwriting. The hero of the present novel is a Mormon and the setting is Kansas, Missouri, and Maine. Watters p. 254 gives publication as Lamoni, Iowa: Herald, 1915. Lamoni was a Mormon settlement. This novel was reprinted in Lamoni as recently as 1978. Scarce.; Octavo
