This copy was bought direct from Blodgett's widow. Munro's fourth book, it won her a second (of three) Governor-General's Awards. Alice Munro won the 2013 Nobel Prize for Literature. The glue allusion in the inscription refers to the fact that this book was manufactured perfect bound (like a paperback). As Blodgett used the copy for work on his book, it was had the cracks, which have been skillfully repaired and do not now show, but the buyer of this (or any other copy) would be well advised to get a paperback or other cheap copy for reading purposes and keep this one as a cultural artifact.; Octavo; Signed by Author 0770517129
