Boston: Arena Publishing Company, 1895. Green cloth, spine gilt lettered, grey patterned endpapers. pp 304. Small ink initials at front; text paper lightly toned, page edges yellowed, VG otherwise. Flewellyn was born in Smithville, Ontario, and moved to Lockport, NY, in 1869 upon her marriage. This was the first of her two novels. The publisher is an interesting one, specializing in social justice issues. Her issues were temperance and Sabbath observance. There was a Toronto edition in 1894. Voilà locates only one copy of this US edition (U of T). Both are very scarce. ; Octavo
