Jacket has a bit of sunning, darkening, rubbing to spine with tiny chips and nicks to tips; price-clipped; darkening to rear panel; generally a VG example otherwise. The author's FIRST BOOK. First published London, 1954. Ahearn's Settle checklist dates the US edition as also 1954, but we think it must have been actually issued in 1955, as the rear panel speaks of the book being "first published a year ago in England". A respectable copy of an uncommon book by this acclaimed West Virginia author.
