TO HIM THAT HATH. A Novel of the West Today.
Edition: First Canadian issue
New York / Toronto: Doran / McClelland & Stewart, 1921. Light blue cloth stamped in dark blue. 291 pp. Spine has white spots, light sunning; tiny white spots to sides; light foxing to page edges; small soil spots to rear free endpaper; 23 Jan., 1922, ink name to front free endpaper; VG unworn copy otherwise. Jacket has small chips, tears, rubbing to tips of tanned spine; rubbing to folds; small soil spots to rear panel and rear flap; VG otherwise, still respectable in appearance. Flaps are blank. This is the variant of the Canadian issue with the McClelland & Stewart imprint to spine and to jacket, but with the dual imprint to title page. Also comes with a Doran (only) title page imprint but M&S spine and jacket imprint. I have seen two variants of the jacket, both basically the same but spine and rear panel lettered in dark (vs light) blue. I think this is the lighter blue lettering variant, but not having a copy of the other variant at the moment, cannot be sure. The US (Doran) first edition was in green cloth.; Octavo
