The tan dust jacket has tiny chips to foot of slightly age-darkened, lightly rubbed spine; small corner chips to head of spine (no lettering affected); panels have minor rubbing, short edge tears, lightly age-darkened; flap folds slightly rubbed, darkened; still a VG attractive example. Now uncommon in jacket. Grove's second book in English, after a career in his native Germany under another name. A collection of essays on the seasons and life in his adopted home in Western Canada. Nice line drawings by a noted Canadian artist.
