    New York: Avon, 1986. Mass market Bard paperback original, the first US editon of this satirical novel set in the Amazon jungle by the acclaimed Brazilian author. Book just a little skewed, else a fine, uncreased copy. Laid in is a block lettered note from the author with name, address and phone number in Brazil. This was for a Toronto writer and impresario who brought him to town for a reading, and who was invited by Souza to visit, and with that person's 1989 ink signature at front.
