Total edition of 300 coipies, this is no. 88 of 200 distributed to frends of the shop. It is inscribed beneath the limitation for "Dennis Wheatley, Esq. , D.C.", and Wheatley's distinctive bookkplate is on the facing page (verso of title). Two small light foxing spots at bottom of front cover, else fine. With the original envelope (very lightly dusty). The letters dated from 26 Oct., 1881, and 08 Feb., 1886, and were sent to Marion Richards. They were offered for sale, along with an inscribed copy of an 1879 later printing of Alice in Wonderland, for £ 31 and 10 shillings. Williams, Madan, and Green 309. Fragile and scarce.
