Frontispiece and engraved title, wi th tissue guard, inserted before the letterpress title. 24 steel engravings with tissue guards inserted in text. All plates present (26 in all). The roan binding is scuffed to the edges of the boards and to the joints; frontispiece and engraved title (which is headed "Heath's Picturesque Annual for 1832") are foxed and yellowed; the other plates all have some foxing to the margins and blank sides, but only a small minority have any foxing…

Minor wear to tips of very lightly sunned spine; boards have rubbing to edges, small paper surface loss to fore margin of front cover, rubbing to rear cover; text paper lightly toned; dust soiling to a few margins. Generally VG externally, fine internally, tight in the binding, no previous owner marks. I believe this offprint is about agricultural fields at higher elevations in Bavaria in Roman times. Scarce.
