The highly regarded Chilean author's first novel, La última niebla (1935). Jacket blurb by her friend Jorge Luis Borges ("Stories of melancholy magic."). Bombal was living with Pablo Neruda when she wrote the book. She re-wrote it herself in English for this edition.
