Ezra Schabas served 1958-61 as music manager of the Stratford Festival. THE SWEET FLYPAPER OF LIFE is a prose work about the life of an ordinary black woman living in Harlem and is a collaboration between Hughes and the noted African- American photographer Roy De Carava.
