Ads for the United States Playing Card Company, with various patterns and special decks depicted. Inner hinges cracked; most of front panel (repaired) of dust jacket laid in; red spine lettering just a mite dulled; else fine and tight, no owner names. The title page continues: "A descriptive and comprehensive Guide on the Rules and Plays of this interesting game, including table, definition of phrases, finesses, and a full treatise on Skat as it is played to-day." A scarce book one of the best three-handed card games, German in origin.

Picture of a penny farthing high wheel bicycle at left. Creased, lightly soiled, short tears neatly repaired on blank verso; good. Mr. Milley paid sixty dollars in full for his bike. That's over $1500 in today's money, about the price of a better road bike weighing 20 pounds with 12-14 gears. Milley's beast had one gear and would have weighed 75-100 pounds.
