Watters p. 276. A novel about the Toronto art world, "it contains many easily recognizable points of local colour. It is the story of an artist who begins his career after the war as a commercial salesman for a large advertising firm and marries a millionaire's daughter. They quarrel bitterly and separate, and Daragon goes to live among a colony of artists and struggles to become a great painter." Also noted in orange cloth. I have a feeling this blue cloth is primary as it is a very typical binding of the British publisher Hodder & Stoughton. Montreal author's only novel. He published two books of essays as "P. O'D." Scarce in any sort of jacket.
