Ink underlining and occasional notes by Constance Rooke, Canadian author and academic, wife of Leon Rooke. The Rookes knew Munro. VG copy. Gives projected publication date of 26 Sept., 1998. The book won Canada's Giller and Trillium prizes as well as the US National Book Critics Circle award for fiction. She went on to win the Nobel Prize in 2013. This unwieldy advance format is rare, there being only a small number produced. I built one of the best Munro collections years ago but I didn't have one of these. 1.25 kg parcel. ; Quarto

Thin jacket a bit yellowed, with small chips and tears; spine browned, rubbed, damp spots, small holes, chips at ends; in all just good. The third book in the distinguished Indian File series, author's first book, a winner of the Governor-General's Award for Poetry, and an uncommon book by the noted Canadian poet and playwright. Edition of 400 copies. I feel fairly certain that the text changes were made by the author himself. They look like…
